About Me

I first used a sewing machine when I was like... 10 years old?

My mother used to work as a seamstress (and she still sews a bit now). Hence I have the chance to touch and explore the world of sewing since I was young. And I could help her a bit when she was rushing to sew long or short pants for a tailor shop in town.

But I was not so much into sewing then. I even hate it! Why? Because I have to help my mother to sew, when my other friends can go out and play =[

When I went to secondary school, I took ERT (a part of Living Skills which involves household knowledge including sewing, cooking, etc) and was back to sewing again with the projects for the subject. Some friends were amazed at how I can be so familiar with sewing machine which is like alien to them.

I sew some simple tote bags and pencil cases for my friends. I still remember that I made a bag for my cousin and her friends like it a lot and requested me to make some for them. And I did, and sold to them at RM10 each!

Since I graduated from secondary school, I have rarely go back to sewing. (Of course I still mend my own torn pants or whatever.) Hectic working life after graduated from university has made me forgotten about my sewing skills.

Until a few weeks ago, I stumbled onto some websites of some talented ladies showing their sewing outcomes. It has somehow, inspired me to start sewing again.

And thus, here I am =)
