Mini Three Layer Drawstring Bag

This three layer drawstring is my latest favourite =)

I made another mini version of this bag.

It is about 16cm height (without the handles) 22cm width.

Oh, the name for this bag is so long! =p

I found this bag in a book and I have wanted to make one but it seemed very troublesome and difficult.

After searching high and low in several blogs after several weeks, finally I found an easier way! And I quickly started working on it last night. I did not add batting for the first try and the bag was way too soft. But it was about 5am so I did not bother to correct the serious mistake.

So this morning (noon actually!) after I woke up, I lazed on my bed thinking of how to amend the mistake. Finally, I opened up the bag and added batting to it. And the result is indeed much better!

Japanese Drawstring Bag (large version)

The previous Japanese Drawstring Bag is quite small (for me). It is just enough to put in my purse.

So I tried to make a larger version.

I added a zipper compartment and handphone pouch in its inner side.

The result is quite ok. Big enough as what I want. But the fabric is a bit thin. I am just too stingy to spend money on proper DIY fabric and lining.

Japanese Drawstring Bag

I saw this cute bag here.

And so I made one using a piece of flowery fabric + a dark colour one. The result is not bad =)

The original version is only with the drawstring. I added a handle (which can't be seen clearly from this picture) to make it easier to be carried

I have given this bag to Celine, my friend's niece. She likes it!
